Ebony Awarded for Adopting Best HR Practices

Ebony Retail Holdings Ltd. has been conferred the – “HR Excellence Award” at Global HR Summit 2007 from Amity International Business School (Amity University), for following the best HR practices in the competing category.

The award is iconic of a big milestone achieved by Ebony’s HR team lead by Mr. Sajeev PB, Sr. G.M-HR.

The award is conferred to Ebony after some very stringent phases of screening and close evaluation. The process of nomination itself in the competing category is a result of an extensive research and careful selection process, based on database of surveys conducted by the most reputed human resource consultancies such as Hewitt Associates, Grow Talent Company Ltd., Mercer Consulting as well as publications like Business World, Business Today and Dataquest. Together this represented an employment base of over one lakh employees in the nominated companies, with participation from all major industry groups.

The next phase has involved the selected companies being further subjected to an extensive screening and being filtered down as finalists. In this phase the key drivers of a “dream job” were determined and finalist companies were evaluated on parameters like – Salary & Compensation, Growth Opportunity, Work-Life balance, Organization Culture, Job Content, Job Security and technology available.

The research findings were then plotted on a HR Management Effectiveness Metric by qualified research faculty which enabled researchers to zero-in on the final awardees for HR Excellence. Ebony Retail Holdings Ltd. has been awarded the “HR Excellence Award” as an end result of this grilling process and Mr. Sajeev PB has received the award at a Valedictory function held at Amity’s main campus in Noida on 23rd August 2007.
